Fiber Art & Handwoven Baskets

We’re happy to support  beautiful handcrafted works from Mayan Hands and Colemama Creations. 

Mayan Hands is a fair trade nonprofit organization dedicated to providing economic and educational opportunities to Mayan women and girls so that they can build sustainable futures for themselves, their families and communities, as they continue to live within the culture they cherish. They work with 14 cooperatives, about 200 women, living in different areas of the Guatemalan highlands. 

Nicole, owner of Colemama Creations created custom woven baskets for our shop! Local to us here in town, she’s dabbled in many different crafts since childhood. She began sewing in her teenage years and that has been the constant through her fiber arts journey. “My design philosophy is simple - it's rooted in a desire to fuse the practical with the artistic. I seek to create vessels that are unique, beautiful, and can stand up to the needs of everyday life.”
