About Us

I’m Jessica, and my journey into the world of crystals and the metaphysical began about 25 years ago, however Mountain Hollow Crystals® wasn’t born until 2019. Initially a way to sell crystals from my personal collection, our offerings have evolved to include more. I like to think of our shop as an extension of who I am - and a place to share my personal passions with all of you.

I'm thankful to have the support of my husband Jeremy, and our cat George acts as quality control and is a crystal aficionado! 

What started as an online shop based out of our Waterford Connecticut home has blossomed into a small storefront for in-person shopping. We’re located at the historic Velvet Mill in Stonington, Connecticut in South Studios #7. The Mill is repurposed and home to a thriving creative community of artists, entrepreneurs, and businesses including a farmer’s market, artisanal bakery, award-winning nano-brewery, bistro style restaurant and more. Visit us Fridays 11AM-4PM, Saturdays 10AM-5PM or Sundays 10AM-3PM. Of course we’re always open online 24/7!

Our Inspiration

Imagine a place where Metaphysical and Bohemian inspired lifestyles merge. There’s flora, fauna, wood and stone. Classical element themes of Earth, Air, Fire & Water, and all things celestial, artsy, and comfortable abound...A place for the free-spirited to be authentically themselves...

Our Values

Ethical sourcing, fair trade practices and environment protection are at the core of our values, which is why we do our very best to consciously source and ensure our suppliers hold the same standards. We have taken the stance that we’d rather pay a higher cost for goods processed with higher standards, even if this means we may not be able to offer large quantities of any one item - but what we do offer, we feel good about!  We also use eco-friendly packaging whenever possible, always recycle packaging that’s mailed to us, offer carbon offsets for shipping through Cloverly, and are a proud partner of 1% for the Planet!

We love to support artists, makers, and other small business, and you'll see that represented throughout our offerings. Every item has been thoughtfully chosen and hand selected so that goods of the highest quality are obtained, and we do so with the intent to add value and enrichment to your life and surroundings.

Within our shop, you'll find various rocks and minerals, from polished and natural specimens, to 'top shelf" and more. We believe tumbled stones are one of the easiest ways to have a multitude of healing options at the ready, which is why we provide over 100 varieties to choose from! You'll also find a curated selection of oracle & tarot decks, books, candles, bath & body, and other products for you and your space.

Simple descriptions (and the occasional interesting fact!) are provided on our crystal product pages.  We've opted to refrain from providing most metaphysical properties with the exception of element and chakra associations. There's an abundance of metaphysical information out there, and we prefer to leave you to your own interpretations as we believe crystals speak to different people in different ways.
